Mbps + 4G TP/SFP Combo Ethernet Switch |
| The PLANET
WGSW-5240 is a 48-Port 10/100Mbps fast Ethernet
Switch with 4-Port Gigabit TP/SFP Combo interface
which boasts a high performance switch architecture
that is capable of providing non-blocking switch
fabric and wire-speed throughput as high as 17.6Gbps.
Its four built-in GbE uplink ports also offer incredible
extensibility, flexibility and connectivity to the
Core switch or Servers. The
IEEE 802 standard-based firmware provides a rich
set of features and ensures interoperability with
equipment from other vendors. Additionally, the
firmware includes advanced features such as IGMP
snooping, broadcast storm control, and MAC address
filtering, to enhance security and bandwidth utilization.
With its built-in web-based
management, the PLANET WGSW-5240 offers an easy-to-use,
platform-independent management and configuration
facility. The PLANET WGSW-5240 supports standard
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and
can be managed via any standard-based management
software. For text-based management, the WGSW-5240
can also be accessed via Telnet and the console
port.

WGSW-5240 Product application: |
Department/Workgroup
Switch:
With 48 10/100Mbps ports and 4 10/100/1000Base-T
ports, the WGSW-5240 can connect up to 52 workstations
in your Ethernet environment. The four SFP Mini-GBIC
interfaces can uplink to a department backbone,
this switch provide an 17.6 Gigabit per second switch
fabric, allow the WGSW-5240 to provide high bandwidth
for backbone connection. MTU
Switch:
In an MTU/MDU application,
the advanced functionality of the WGSW-5240 eliminates
traditional problems associated with the use of
Ethernet. Users can be segregated with advanced
VLAN functionality to enhance security, and bandwidth
managed with tiered bandwidth provision and control
using configurable upstream/downstream restrictions.
This, coupled with the flexible Mini-GBIC 1000Base-SX/LX
module options makes the WGSW-5240 one of the
best and most cost-effective switch solutions
for Multi-tenant service providers.
