VX-1000HDX
The Versa Technology VX-1000HDX is a 48-Port ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ mini IP DSLAM which equips with combo electrical (RJ-45) and fiber optical (SFP) uplink interfaces offering scalable and easy deployment for the network with small ADSL environment. With built-in POTS splitter subscriber ports, the VX-1000HDX performs as a cost-effective solution for network service providers to offer multiple subscribers excellent services.
Designed specifically for the Hospitality, MDU and Campus environment, the Versa Technology VX-1000HDX platform provides cost-effective, secure, Carrier Access to timeshares, apartment buildings, condos, dormitories, hospitals, and other campus deployments. It provides the security and bandwidth needed to allow service providers the ability to compete with and surpass all other telecommunications companies.
Moreover, the VX-1000HDX supports local and remote managed capabilities of CLI, SNMP, and Telnet via RS-232 console port and Web GUI management interface. Via user-friendly Web GUI, the VX-1000HDX can be managed by workstations running standard web browsers that provide the easy-to-use operation and convenient maintenance.
To enhance the network security, the VERSA TECHNOLOGY VX-1000HDX also provides features such as QoS, VLAN, Multicast, Bandwidth Management, Traffic Prioritization, and Access Control List. With the advanced QoS features, the VX-1000HDX is an ideal solution for next generation broadband network to deliver rich video contents, DSL, POTS, and VoIP service over ADSL2+ connection.
About ADSL2+
ITU G.992.5 is an ITU (International Telecommunication Union) standard, also referred to as ADSL2+. Is has a maximum download speed of 24 Mbps. ADSL2+ extends the capability of basic ADSL by doubling the number of downstream bits. The data rates can be as high as 24 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream depending on the distance from the DSLAM to the customer’s home.
A leader in ROI
Joe Taylor Director of Business Development for Versa Technology had this to say about the VX-1000HDX: “Our goal has always been to provide service providers everything they need to reach every customer and provide the quickest ROI possible. We feel the VX-1000HDX will allow the maximum amount of subscribers while utilizing the least amount of space. Less space used means less CO Cost.” Furthermore he went on to say that “With more and more rural customers, we feel the need to give them something that they can make money off quickly with little upfront cost. While the incumbents are flush with cash, the little guy cannot always afford to pay for a brand, so that is where the VX-1000HDX and Versa Technology come in.”
