For the cost saving and power management purpose, Versa Technology releases a new 10/100/1000Mbps Power over Ethernet splitter VX-PI1000SP. The VX-PI1000SP is an IEEE 802.3af compatible Gigabit Power over Ethernet device which split the 38-56V DC over the Ethernet cable into 5/7.5/9V12V DC power output. Work with the IEEE 802.3af compatible power source equipment (PSE), the VX-PI1000SP frees the device deployment from restrictions due to power outlet locations, which eliminates the costs for additional AC wiring and reduces the installation time.
When the PSE inserts DC Voltage into the CAT 5 cable, it allows the cable between the PSE and VX-PI1000SP to transfer gigabit data and power simultaneously. The maximum distance between the PSE and VX-PI1000SP is 100M. With being installed, the PSE combines the Ethernet digital gigabit data with power over the twisted pair cables as an injector, and the VX-PI1000SP, the splitter, shall separate the digital gigabit data and the power into four outputs.
With IEEE 802.3af compatible Power over Ethernet being installed, the system administrator only has to use a single RJ-45 Ethernet cable to carry both power and data to each device. The VX-PI1000SP also has the benefits of cost saving as well as ease for networking planning and higher reliability. Furthermore, upon any IEEE 802.3af compatible being installed, the VX-PI1000SP can make the connection while migrating or splitting the power and the Ethernet digital packets. Providing four kinds of DC output, the VX-PI1000SP offers 5V/2A, 7.5V/1.33A, 9V/1.1A & 12V/0.86A respectively.
