The PLANET WSD-800
is an 8-Port 10/100Mbps managed Fast Ethernet
switch. All the Ethernet ports comply with IEEE802.3x
full-duplex control standard which eliminate packet
loss in heavy traffic conditions. The auto-MDI/MDI-X
detection function also eases the selection of
cable type for devices connectivity.
Its advanced features, such
as IGMP snooping, broadcast storm control, MAC
address filtering, Virtual LAN, enhanced security
and bandwidth utilization fit a variety of applications.
Additionally, its standard-compliant implementation
ensures interoperability with equipment from other
vendors.
With its built-in Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) and web-based management,
the WSD-800 offers an easy-to-use, platform-independent
management and configuration facility. For text-based
management, the WSD-800 can also be accessed via
Telnet and the console port. It brings the true
enterprise class management ability to a desktop
as a 19-inch switch.
