What does Idle, Handshake, Training, and Showtime mean for each port?

An Idle state indicates that a modem was previously connected to that port with traffic history but is currently disconnected or powered off.

A Handshake status indicates that the DSLAM is connected to a modem or that there is no modem connected to that port.

When the DSLAM establishes a connection to a modem, it will go through a status of Training before the units synchronize.

When a port is working properly and synchronized, the status will be Showtime.
